Price's mum: 'Andre used split for album'

Katie Price's mother Amy has accused Peter Andre of exploiting his split from her daughter to help write his recent album.

She told The Mirror that it seemed as if Andre had only stayed with Katie for the last year of their marriage to aid his comeback LP Revelation.

Amy said of the record: "It was about failing relationships and he was continually running her down. I thought maybe this was what songwriters did, but then I thought, 'Hang on, how could he do that?'.

"They were still married and it was just wrong, not normal. It was almost as if the last year was all pre-planned and little more than a sham."

She added: "Pete didn't have many hobbies. He was in the house all the time. When she started doing the horses and wanted an outlet, he couldn't cope.

"You need space in a marriage and there wasn't any. It was suffocating. He must have been bored out of his mind half the time because things weren't going well."

Andre has repeatedly denied suggestions from Katie that he used their break-up to promote his music career.
