Alias and Elektra actress Jennifer Garner has admitted that the success of her acting career is a total surprise to her - as she never wanted to be an actress.

In fact, all she imagined was a normal domestic life, according to Contact Music.

She revealed, "I've never had a drive for stardom. I wanted to act for a living, then go home, make dinner and be with the kids. I never ever watched the Academy Awards.

"I was one of those children that if you asked me what I wanted to be I would have told you something different everyday, like a librarian, an author, or a doctor.

"As far as I was concerned, Happy Days was made on another planet."
