Gosselin 'eager to land movie role'

Kate Gosselin has revealed that she would love to continue her career in television and land a part in a movie.

Speaking in a special Q&A episode of her TLC show last night, the 34-year-old suggested that she had found her "niche" after starring in five seasons of the network's Jon & Kate Plus 8.

"I've done enough years on TV that I feel like it's a normal, comfortable, natural place to be," she explained.

"I'd love to be in a movie at some point, I'd love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun."

The mother-of-eight also dismissed claims that the show was harmful to 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara and 5-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Collin, Joel, Alexis, Leah and Hannah.

"They wouldn't be on it if it was," she insisted. "It has done nothing but provide a positive experience for them and we haven't forced them to do anything."

TLC recently announced that Jon & Kate would be relaunched as Kate Plus 8 next month, with a greater focus on Kate's new role as a single mother.
