Charlotte Church has admitted that she would have "got down on my knees and begged" to appear at the Cardiff aid concert for victims of the South East Asian tsunami disaster.
Church has admitted that she was desperate to perform at the gig to help raise money.
She told icWales, "As soon as I saw there was a concert I wanted to be involved.
"There was a lot of speculation where it was going to be held but when I found out it was in Cardiff I said to my manager, 'Get on the phone, I want to do this concert!'.
"I would have got on my knees to beg to do it, but thankfully I didn't have to as they said yes straight away."
She added, "It was important to me to do this concert. I was unbelievably upset by the whole tsunami disaster. I have been watching the news constantly."
