Hilton 'steps up security after burglary'

Paris Hilton has apparently stepped up her home security following a recent burglary.

Almost $2m (£1.4m) worth of personal items and jewellery were stolen from the star's residence in Los Angeles. Hilton is now looking to ensure her safety, Radar Online reports.

"I am very upset that these people went into my home and did this to me," the 28-year-old said. "It was so wrong and such an invasion of privacy.

"Since then I have upped my security majorly, I have 24-hour security guarding my home and cameras and alarms everywhere so this will never happen again."

Last weekend, it was reported that Hilton had recovered her stolen jewellery following the arrest of a group of teenagers that are suspected to be responsible for a slew of burglaries in the Sherwood Oaks area of LA.
