Reubens: "I still am Pee-wee Herman"

Actor Paul Reubens has revealed that he obsesses about being relevant in today's world of entertainment.

The 57-year-old explained that he is currently prepping his Pee-wee Herman character for an elaborate live show.

"I am constantly hoping that, like, I'm still relevant at all," he told Details magazine.

"What I'm trying to prove now is that I still have it, I'm still around - I still am Pee-wee Herman, and Pee-wee Herman is still funny."

Reubens recently voiced the role of Bat-Mite for the Cartoon Network's Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He is reportedly working on a third Pee-wee Herman movie.
