Cyrus: 'Twitter should be banned'

Miley Cyrus has claimed that Twitter should be banned from the universe.

The Hannah Montana star recently left the social networking site and later wrote a rap explaining her reasons for doing so.

"I think that everyone should leave Twitter," she told Chicago radio station B96. "I think Twitter should just be banned from this universe."

Cyrus added that the service is "unhealthy" because it stops people from experiencing life.

"All I did was lay in bed on my computer and sit there and eat ice cream late at night," she said. "You don't end up living your life and you end up saying things that really is no-one else's business. And I'm not a big fan of the internet anymore. I don't really go online."

A fan recently threatened to kill their pet cat unless Cyrus returned to Twitter.
