Lindsay Lohan slams father as "lunatic"

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly labelled her estranged father as a "lunatic".

The 23-year-old actress, whose father Michael recently published an open letter alleging that she was on "death's doorstep" and addicted to drugs, has insisted that he is an "abusive" person who has only been around to harass her family, reports The Huffington Post.

Lohan wrote on her Twitter page: "My father is a lunatic and doesn't even deserve such a title since he's never been around in my life other than when he'd threaten me and my family.

"He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life - behind bars. Its so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, 'Why is daddy doing this?' Through tears."

She added: "He's crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time... So much for having a 'dad'... I'm going to spend some time with the ones that love me and I love now. I appreciate those who continue to support me. My fans keep me strong and I love you all so much for it! My second family is what you are to me."

According to the New York Post, Lohan and her mother Dina are reportedly taking Michael to court for a restraining order and to claim overdue child support.
