Jamie Oliver has revealed that he hated his time at school.

The celebrity chef, who suffers from dyslexia, said that he vowed never to read or write again after he graduated.

He told The Independent: "It's ironic that the one thing I hated I sort of specialise in now. Almost 24 million copies, by someone who swore he'd never ever do any revolting reading and writing when he left school. It's funny how things work out."

Oliver continued: "What is education? A bunch of stuff that people think we should know."

He added: "Ultimately, if you can put a wall up, if you can paint, if you can work with other people and, most important, if you find out what you are good at, that's the key."
