Seacrest gets 'stalker' restraining order

Ryan Seacrest has been granted a restraining order against the man accused of stalking him.

Chidi Uzomah was apprehended in the lobby of the E! building on Friday and a three-inch knife was discovered on his person.

In September, the 25-year-old was arrested after he allegedly attacked the American Idol presenter's personal security guard.

Attorneys for Seacrest obtained the temporary stay-away order just hours after Uzomah was detained, The AP reports.

"His aggressive and violent efforts top come into physical contact with me are extremely frightening to me," Seacrest said in a declaration filed on Friday.

"They have jeopardised not only my personal safety, but also the safety and well-being of those around me."

Uzomah remains in police custody and has been held on $150,000 (£91,760) bail.
