Houston 'puts home up for sale'

Whitney Houston has apparently placed her residence in New Jersey up for sale.

The Menham area home, which was where the Grammy winner married ex-husband Bobby Brown in 1992, has an asking price of $5.6m (£3.4m), People reports.

The listing cost is reportedly half of the assessed value of the 12,561 sq ft property, which boasts five bedrooms, three fireplaces, a four-car garage, a bar, skylights, walk-in closets and floor-to-ceiling windows. It is described as a modern-style house, which is full of natural light and contains "circular-themed interior spaces".

In 2006, another home in the region was to be auctioned off when it was revealed that the 'Million Dollar Bill' singer owed $1m (£610,476) in back taxes on the estate.
