Brand 'gave up drugs for Perry'

Russell Brand has revealed that he has stopped taking drugs since starting a relationship with Katy Perry.

Brand, who has been dating the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer since September, claimed that he feels fulfilled for the first time in his life.

"I'm not drinking or doing drugs anymore, so I don't have that problem," Heat quotes him as saying.

"My new relationship is helping me calm down. In the past there were some times when I didn't like myself for what I was doing. I feel better now with who I am.

"I'm really enjoying myself now. It's a beautiful thing. I think maybe I'm really happy for the first time."

Brand recently admitted that he thinks he is "in love" with Perry.
