Hilton argument "grossly misrepresented"

Paris Hilton's argument with boyfriend Doug Reinhardt at a Halloween party was "grossly misrepresented", according to her publicist.

The Simple Life star and Reinhardt were alleged to have engaged in a physical argument which resulted in Hilton's mobile phone being thrown out of a window.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, her representative said: "Doug had thrown Paris's phone to a friend inside the car and it went out of the window by accident.

"Paris was annoyed with Doug because she was afraid that the paparazzi would get her phone. There was never a choking incident. The photographs show Doug asking Paris not to go back outside and to calm down."

The spokesperson added that reports of the row had been "blown out of proportion by the paparazzi".
