Monk, Hawkins, Phillips hit Melbourne

Zara Phillips was among the stars celebrating at the Melbourne Cup yesterday.

The Queen's granddaughter, who is a World Champion showjumper, was spotted sipping champagne at the horse racing event among celebrities such as Sophie Monk and Jennifer Hawkins.

Model Hawkins, who made a profit on winning horse Shocking, told News.com.au: "I can't believe it. I can't stop winning."

It is thought that Monk left before the main race because her ex-boyfriend Benji Madden was attending.

Other stars such as comedy duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, singer Ronan Keating, Packed To The Rafters star Jessica McNamee and Celebrity MasterChef contestant Rachael Finch were seen in the Emirates marquee.

The guests were entertained by Bollywood dancers, who were joined on the dancefloor by Home and Away actress Esther Anderson and former Australian Idol host James Mathison.
