Rihanna named 'Woman Of The Year'

Glamour magazine has named Rihanna its 'Woman Of The Year'.

The singer, who was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February, was given the honour for bouncing back from the attack so quickly.

Rihanna initially took a break from the music industry to recover, but is now preparing for her career comeback with the release of her album Rated R.

The award will be presented next week at New York's Carnegie Hall.
