The Aerosmith singer, whose daughter is actress Liv Tyler, will give fans the chance to buy his suits, T-shirts and memorabilia to raise money for the MusiCares MAP Fund, which offers help to musicians recovering from addictions.
Tyler is quoted by the Post Chronicle as saying: "This is a personal gesture - a way for me to literally dive into my closet and give back. Even my skivvies are going up for auction in support of MusiCares."
The auction will be held by Julien’s Auctions in New York on November 21. Tyler has also recruited celebrity friends such as Sir Paul McCartney and Ronnie Wood to donate items.
