Hudson: 'My mother is always with me'

Jennifer Hudson has revealed that she believes she is protected by her late mother's spirit.

The Dreamgirls star, whose mother Darnell Donnerson was murdered with her brother and nephew last year, said that she feels her mum with her all the time.

When asked by Access Hollywood if she senses her presence, Hudson replied: "Oh my God, yeah. Definitely. Wherever. Every day I'm like, 'Wow! I didn't realise I was so like my mother until now', you know?"

The actress added: "My mother was the strongest person I've ever seen."

Hudson gave birth to her new son David three months ago.
