Quaid 'posts bond over unpaid bill'

Randy Quaid and wife Evi have reportedly posted bond after being accused of failing to pay a hotel bill.

The Independence Day star and his partner were arrested in June after allegedly leaving a hotel in California without paying their $10,000 (£6,247) bill.

Speaking to People, Santa Barbara senior deputy district attorney Lee Carter said: "They have posted bond. [If they don't show up to court] a bounty hunter will go and get them."

The case prosecutors had claimed that they were seeking to extradite the Quaids from their Texas home after they failed to appear at a fourth scheduled court date on Monday.

They will reportedly face felony charges of burglary, defrauding and conspiracy on December 15.
