Rihanna reveals details of Brown attack

Rihanna has revealed details of the evening she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Speaking to ABC's Good Morning America, the singer explained that the altercation began after Brown received a text message from another woman.

"I caught him in a lie. And he wouldn't tell the truth... I couldn't take that he kept lying to me. And he couldn't take that I wouldn't drop it," she said.

"It escalated into him being violent towards me and it was ugly."

The 21-year-old went on to clarify that her mouth was filled with blood during the attack and admitted that "all I kept thinking the whole time is when is this going to stop? When is this going to stop?"

She added: "[Chris] had no soul in his eyes. Just blank. He was clearly blacked out. There was no person when I looked at him."

"I was battered, I was bleeding. I was swollen in my face," she continued. "So there was no way of me getting home... my next option was to get out of the car and walk. Start walking in a gown and a bloody face.

"So I really don't know what was my plan. I didn't have a plan. That whole night was not part of my plan."

Rihanna added that Brown was her "first love" and admitted that it was "scary" falling for her best friend because the "more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other, equally as dangerous because it was a bit of an obsession almost".

Brown, who has publicly apologised for the incident, was sentenced to five years' probation, six months of community labour and one year of domestic violence counselling.
