Bashir resists call to testify

Journalist Martin Bashir has requested that the judge in the Michael Jackson child molestation case deny the prosecution's request to make him testify.
In 2003 Bashir made a documentary about Jackson which included the star's admission that he sleeps in the same room as young boys. The prosecution now wish to question Bashir about things that Jackson might have said that did not make it past the editing room.
However, Bashir says that his work 'speaks for itself' and is relying on a state law which says that a journalist cannot be forced to testify about what he sees whilst working on a story. His motion will be considered on January 28.
