Beyonce's Munchie is top dog

Beyonce Knowles' dog Munchie has been declared America's Most Eligible Pet.

The venerable Munchie has had this honour bestowed upon it by Animal Fair magazine which featured the pair on the cover of its winter issue, reports The Sun.

An excited Wendy Diamond, editorial director of the magazine exclaimed: "We've already been overloaded with calls from people trying to set their dogs up with Munchie!"

Commenting on her beloved Munchie, Beyonce told the magazine: "He'll climb right up to your face and give you a kiss, and then he'll lie under your neck and give you a hug."
