Michael Lohan: 'God is punishing Lindsay'

Michael Lohan has blasted his daughter Lindsay for alleging that he threatened to kill his ex-wife Dina at the height of their marital problems.

The born-again Christian has been waging a public battle for several months to get the Mean Girls actress into rehab and fight her rumoured problems with prescription medication.

Lindsay has repeatedly denied the claims, even after Michael released desperate phone messages from the 23-year-old to the media to prove that he is not fabricating the drama.

He has now claimed that God is punishing the star for allegedly abusing drugs.

He told the New York Post: "I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that… No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her.

"Because she's forsaken everything he's given her and she's done nothing but misuse all the gifts she's given."
