The Ocean's Twelve star needed the surgery after sustaining an injury during filming of a fight scene for the new movie.
The injury left him with intense headaches which forced him to pull out of appearances to promote the movie in the US and Europe. Doctors found that the pains were a result of fluid leaking from his spinal column.
The Press Association reports that Clooney is almost fully recovered after having surgery known as spinal cap, in which the tear was closed.
