Gellar 'went into labour at the gym'

Sarah Michelle Gellar has revealed that she went into labour with her first child while she was at the gym.

The former Buffy The Vampire Slayer star and husband Freddie Prinze Jr. welcomed daughter Charlotte Grace in September.

Speaking to People, she said: "I didn't really believe it. I just felt a little nauseous and my trainer said, 'Um, isn't your baby coming next week? Maybe it's time now?'

"I said, 'Oh no, I doubt it.' You see on TV these scenes where the women are threatening to kill their husbands because the pain is so overwhelming. I went home and said to Freddie, 'This can't be labour'. He kept saying, 'Sarah, are you sure?'"

Prinze added: "She was like, 'No I think it's the spicy dinner I had. I'm sure. I'll be fine. Then later that night, she was like, 'Okay, I think I might be in labour but you should get some more sleep'."

He went on to praise his wife for being "very calm, very centred and very prepared" during the labour, joking: "I'm telling you, this girl is like Gandhi. She doesn't let anything rattle her."
