Denise Van Outen 'expecting first baby'

Denise Van Outen is pregnant with her first child, a report has claimed today.

The 35-year-old presenter and husband Lee Mead confirmed the news to their loved ones yesterday after Van Outen had her 12-week scan, according to The Sun.

A source said: "To say they are ecstatic would be an understatement. The baby's healthy and everything's going to plan."

Van Outen, who is reportedly due to give birth in May, is still expected to go ahead with her new Wizard Of Oz talent search on the BBC next year.

An insider commented: "She's insisting she'll work all through her pregnancy."

TV star Van Outen met theatre actor Mead when she was a judge on reality show Any Dream Will Do, which the 28-year-old won. The pair tied the knot in April this year.
