Jon Voight 'confirms Jolie reconciliation'

Jon Voight has reportedly confirmed that he has reconciled with his daughter Angelina Jolie.

The pair stopped talking in 2002 when the National Treasure actor suggested that Jolie needed help for "serious mental problems".

Speaking to Us Weekly, he said: "We're in touch, but not regularly.

"We love each other and that's the most important thing."

A source alleged to the magazine that it was Jolie who made the "initial contact" with Voight and that her partner Brad Pitt had been "supportive".

Jolie previously told Stylist that the pair were "in contact now and writing letters" but insisted that families were earned, rather than born.
