A plethora of stars release their charity single Grief Never Grows Old today in the hope of raising over £2m for the Asian Tsunami survivors.

Calling themselves One World, an array of musical artists have lent their support to the project to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee by releasing the song penned by DJ Mike Read.

Backed by Sri Lankan choir Soul Sounds, the stars taking part include Boy George, Sir Cliff Richard, Barry and Robin Gibb, Brian Wilson, Bill Wyman and Russell Watson.

Sir Cliff told the BBC: "The terrible news of the Asian tsunami cast a grim shadow over all our lives.

"I hope this record proves effective in raising further money for what will be an ongoing tragedy for a million or more survivors well beyond 2005."

Sharon Osbourne is also organising a similar venture featuring artists such as Sir Elton John, Rod Stewart and Pink, which should be released next month.
