Ashlee Simpson-Wentz for own clothing line?

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz reportedly wants to launch her own fashion label.

The singer suffered a setback last month when she was dropped from the revamped US show Melrose Place following reports she fell out with the cast and crew.

She has since landed the role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago, reprising the part she performed on London's West End in 2006.

However, the 25-year-old is said to be keen on turning her attentions to the fashion industry by launching her own designs.

A source told Star magazine: "Ashlee wants to start a clothing line. She wants it to be both preppy and punk rock. She thinks she can really succeed in fashion."

Sister Jessica has established herself as a successful designer with her own line, encompassing clothes, shoes, handbags and nightwear.
