TLC's T-Boz talks swine flu scare

Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins has admitted that her recent bout with the H1N1 virus came as a complete shock.

The TLC member and her daughter visited a doctor to treat sore throats, which in Tionne's case turned out to be a symptom of swine flu.

"I was like, 'This is unbelievable. I made arrangements right away for my daughter to stay with my mum'," she told Life & Style magazine.

She added: "He gave me antibiotics and antiviral medications like Tamiflu and Levaquin, as well as a low dose of steroids. I had to stay in the house and away from everyone."

The 39-year-old singer was diagnosed with sickle-cell anemia and recently underwent brain surgery earlier this year. She said that despite her recent medical history, she never felt that her life was in danger.
