Nicolas Cage loses two homes in auction

Nicolas Cage sold off two historic New Orleans homes in a foreclosure auction on Thursday.

The Oscar-winning actor has been selling property in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Rhode Island to pay off his $6m (£3.5m) federal tax lien.

The 45-year-old recently filed a lawsuit blaming his financial troubles on former business partner Samuel J. Levin.

The French Quarter houses sold for $4.5m (£2.6m) to Cage's lender Regions Bank.

Cage's next film Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans will be released later this month.
