Brand: 'West Ham basque was amazing'

Russell Brand has paid tribute to his girlfriend Katy Perry for wearing a West Ham basque with his nickname Rusty on the back at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin.

Speaking at a DVD signing event in central London, the comedian revealed that he had been touched by Perry's choice of outfit.

He said: "I don't think she realised the impact it would have on me because there isn't a single person in my life that I haven't at some point sulked about or not spoken to.

"But with West Ham, even when we went down, there's not been a single time when I've not supported them, plus she looked amazing."

The 34-year-old went on to say that he planned to take Perry to see the team play at Upton Park in the near future.
