Russell Brand denies Hollywood move

Russell Brand has denied rumours that he is moving to America.

The speculation that Brand would move to Los Angeles to be with girlfriend Katy Perry began when he reportedly put his house on the market.

However, The Mirror reports that Brand dismissed the rumours at a DVD signing in London.

"I'm not moving to America," he said. "I will sometimes go there. I have to go there to make films. We do make films in England but it's more like a hobby. They're like, 'Come along, we can make a film. Oh, and can you make the sandwiches?"

Brand also denied speculation that he is involved in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, joking: "I look a bit like a pirate."

However, he added that he was tempted by the possibility of playing Captain Jack Sparrow's brother in the Disney film.

"You know what?" he said. "I'm going to phone that [Mickey] Mouse up. I will just leave an answer message if he don't pick up."
