Oasis classic in 'The O.C.' season finale

One of Oasis' top US hits will be featured in the season finale of The O.C..
The last episode of the popular Fox show will include a version of Champagne Supernova recorded by indie band Matt Pond PA.
Oasis' original version of the song topped the Billboard Modern Tracks chart for five weeks and made it into the US top 40 on its 1996 release. Their debut album Definitely Maybe also enjoyed US success, selling over 700,000 units, but 2002's Heathen Chemistry fared less well with its highest chart appearance being at 23.
The band's sixth album is due out on May 16.
