Rooney: 'Being a mum is exhausting'

Coleen Rooney has admitted that being a mum is exhausting.

The News of the World reports that Rooney, who gave birth to Kai two weeks ago, was speaking while on her first night out since becoming a mother.

She was celebrating her friend's birthday in Liverpool but admitted that she was missing her son, who was being looked after by her parents.

"It's the first time I've left him alone for this length of time but I know he's in good hands," she explained.

"I love being a mum to Kai, he is absolutely gorgeous. But I'm knackered all the time at the moment. I'm lucky because Wayne is so good with him and my mum's been helping out loads."

Before Kai was born, Rooney turned down a £1 million deal for the baby photos.
