Lutz 'almost missed New Moon party'

New Moon star Kellan Lutz has reportedly revealed that he was almost turned away from the movie's premiere after party.

The actor, who plays Emmett Cullen in the vampire franchise, told The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the guard at LA's Hammer Museum originally sent him away.

"I almost couldn't get into the after party!" People quotes him as saying.

"I'm like, 'I'm in the movie. I know my hair is blonde right now'."

Lutz also recounted a recent experience that he had while relaxing naked in a spa, explaining: "The guy is like, 'You're Kellan Lutz'. I'm like, 'Yeah'.

"He's like, 'Big fan, big fan. You do great work in Twilight, can't wait to see the new movie'. I'm like, 'Thanks, buddy'. He just continued to talk for ten minutes."

The Twilight Saga: New Moon arrives in cinemas on Friday.
