McManus to appear on US TV show

Rove McManus will be the first Aussie star to be interviewed on American cable show Chelsea Lately, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The chatshow host, who quit his TV series Rove last Sunday after ten years, has chosen to avoid Australian and British press in favour of promoting himself in the US with comedienne Chelsea Handler.

The move has fuelled rumours that he is hoping to pursue a career in US television.

McManus cancelled a scheduled appearance on a Michael Parkinson TV special in Sydney on Tuesday night.
