Cyrus family "saddened" by bus accident

The Cyrus family have released a statement about the accident involving one of Miley Cyrus's tour buses.

According to The AP, the bus crashed and flipped at about 8.15am in Dinwiddie County, Virginia.

The star was not on board the vehicle at the time of the collision, but driver Bill Douglas was killed.

In a message on her website, the Cyrus family said: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill 'Uncle Bill' Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed."

Police are reportedly investigating the cause of the crash, which injured one other person.
