Derek Hough has blamed his sister Julianne's split with Chuck Wicks on her busy career.
The 24-year-old, who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars this week, spoke to People about his younger sibling's recent break-up with country singer Wicks.
"She's 21 years old and her career is skyrocketing right now and it's tough to sustain a relationship, especially with somebody who's so much older than her," he said.
Derek also revealed that the former couple still spend time together when their schedules allow.
He added: "We're all very close. And [the split] is amicable. They're still really great friends, and that's the way to do it."
