McKinnon pregnant with ex's baby

Australian actress Simmone Jade McKinnon has announced that she is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend's child.

The father is believed to be McKinnon's former boyfriend, pilot and ex-CLEO 'Bachelor Of The Year' Dominic James.

McKinnon, who did not reveal the identity of the father herself, told New Idea: "I’ve been clucky forever and dreaming about children for the longest time, but this was a totally unexpected blessing."

Talking about the child's dad, the McLeod's Daughters star said: "He knows about it and he’s happy to play some part. I’d been dating him on and off for about a year... We were meant to come together for the sake of this little soul."

She added: "I feel very thankful. This has happened later in life, and I know how many people try for such a long time to fall pregnant - so I’m very aware how lucky I am."

James was hailed a hero when he saved the lives of his five passengers after his aircraft plunged into waters off Norfolk Island on Wednesday.

The baby is due in March next year.
