Perry dad: 'Brand won't marry Katy'

Katy Perry's father has said that he does not think that her boyfriend Russell Brand will marry the singer.

The 24-year-old star recently introduced the comedian to her devoutly religious parents, who were apparently dismissive of Brand's history with womanising and drugs.

Perry's dad has reportedly now insisted that the 35-year-old is not marriage material for his daughter.

He told the News of the World: "I have met Russell. I'm not thinking he's the guy who will be her husband, but he's a nice guy."

Brand earlier denied rumours that he is planning to move to America with Perry.
