Suranne faces long-distance love problems

Former Coronation Street actress Suranne Jones is facing difficulties in her relationship with Jonathan Wrather.

The pair have been forced to spend time apart, as Suranne is busy with her television commitments.

The actress, who played Karen McDonald, originally agreed to move to London with Jonathan after quitting the soap. However, she was soon convinced to stay in her home town of Manchester to film for ITV1 drama Vincent.

Suranne's relationship with Jonathan suffered in 2003, when Jonathan moved to London. Tabloids speculated that the pair couldn't cope with a long-distance relationship.

"I imagined I'd be moving to London for work so it's an added bonus that I'm able to stay here to shoot Vincent," Suranne said.

However, a friend told The People, "It's happening again. It would be a shame if they split."
