Mariah Carey denies Garraway
Mariah Carey's representative has criticised Kate Garraway for speaking out about the singer's "diva" behaviour during a recent appearance on GMTV.

The 'I Want To Know What Love Is' artist recorded an interview for the morning show last week.

Garraway later described her encounter with Carey in New magazine, accusing the star of bringing her own toilet roll to the studio and forcing her aides to walk backwards in front of her in case she tripped.

The presenter said: "We had Mariah Carey in the GMTV studios last week. I've heard a lot of rumours about her being a diva over the years and guess what? It's all true! While Mariah was very nice, the amount of people she had in her entourage was hilarious. They outnumbered the entire GMTV crew."

However, Garraway's claims have since been denied by Carey's publicist, who told the Daily Mail that the host's remarks were a "clear, gross exaggeration".

The spokesperson added: "Every star of Mariah's calibre is surrounded by a working team and Mariah doesn't actually have any more people working with her than any other major star."
