Busted's Matt: 'Fightstar kicks ass'

Ex Busted singer Matt Willis has high praise for his ex bandmate's new group.

Charlie Simpson caused Busted to split last month when he quit to join rock outfit Fightstar. Although he's been down and out of late, Matt doesn't harbour any ill feelings about the breakup.

"His band kick ass!" he told MTV News. "I've heard his EP and its fantastic. I'm actually a fan of his band. I went to his first gig, his second, his third, his fourth."

He continued: "Charlie is in an EMO band - a post hardcore band. He is not out there to make money. He is not out there to be Charlie, the face of Elle Girl... At the end of the day he is one of my best friends and I wish him all the best because I can see how happy he is."
