Celebrities who scaled Africa's tallest mountain for Comic Relief are returning to the continent to see how some of the cash they raised is being spent.

Gary Barlow, Kimberley Walsh, Chris Moyles, Ben Shephard and Fearne Cotton were among a team of nine who raised £3.5 million by reaching the top of the 19,300ft (5,900m) Mount Kilimanjaro in March.

The celebrities are travelling to Uganda next week to help with the distribution of half a million mosquito nets to help save lives in the fight against malaria, reports PA.

The group had set out to raise £1 million, surpassing their target just five days into the eight-day hike.
