Boyle: 'I feel very content with myself'

Susan Boyle has denied rumours that she is close to breaking down.

The Britain's Got Talent runner-up caused concern earlier this week when she was photographed sucking her thumb.

However, Boyle explained that it had been a joke and she is "happy and doing fine".

"I have never been accepted by the world before," she told the News of the World. "Now I do feel part of it, and I find it really exciting. I feel very content with myself, and as I'm finally achieving my dream I feel so lucky and privileged.

"I keep asking myself, 'Is this really happening?' And I keep expecting someone to say, 'Ha, ha, love, we're kidding'."

Boyle added that her only worry is that her fame will come to an end.

"Everyone has fears but mine is probably that this will all disappear," she said. "I want it to keep on going as long as possible.

"If it did all go away tomorrow, I know that I've enjoyed every moment of living the dream now."
