Speaking to Access Hollywood, the Batman Begins star revealed that the shoes worn by 3-year-old Suri were actually supportive dancing shoes.
"She, like every little girl - she loves my high heels," she said.
"They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them."
She added to Extra: "She loves dancing and singing and she's just a joy. She loves it all."
Holmes recently joked that husband Tom Cruise would make a great talent show judge in a programme such as Fox's So You Think You Can Dance.
