Carl Barat cast in 'Fool For Love'

Carl Barat has been cast in a new London run of Sam Shepherd's 1983 play Fool For Love.

The former Libertines frontman will star alongside Sadie Frost at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith in the Neil Sheppeck-directed production.

Barat said: "I have always wanted to act, so when Sadie and Neil offered me this I was very much up for it.

"It's certainly one hell of a challenge, but I'm really enjoying the process of collaboration."

The play opens on January 25 and is due to run until March 21, with a post-show talk being hosted on January 29.

Barat recently starred as 1950s US rock 'n' roller Gene Vincent in the movie adaptation of Nick Moran's Telstar.
