Jennifer Hawkins takes TV pay cut

Jennifer Hawkins has taken a pay cut in return for promises of a better TV role on Channel 7, reports have claimed.

The Australian supermodel and presenter, who has presented shows such as Make Me A Supermodel, is believed to have renewed her contract for less money despite them not yet having a specific show for her to host.

Hawkins's agent Sean Anderson told News.com.au: "The network wanted to re-sign her and she wants to keep the association with the network. Jennifer is to be staying with Seven and is looking forward to working with them over the next 12 months of the contract."

Hawkins has apparently earned up to $1 million (£550,000) a year since joining the television station in 2004.
