Weezer singer 'hospitalised after crash'

Weezer's lead singer has reportedly been hospitalised after a bus crash.

TMZ says that Rivers Cuomo and his family were travelling in New York when the bus hit some ice and skidded off the road.

Cuomo was taken to hospital after complaining of rib pain, but his wife and daughter were uninjured. Only one other person was hospitalised.

The driver said that he lost control of the bus when it hit the ice patch. The vehicle reportedly went into the middle of the road, hit reflective posts, crossed back across the road and crashed into a ditch.

CNN says that the police do not think drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
