McFly not expecting Brits success
McFly are modest about their chances at the Brit Awards later this week - despite being the favourites to pick up a gong.

Online bookmakers Blue Square give the boyband odds of 1/4 to triumph in the 'Best Pop' category, ahead of Natasha Bedingfield (5/1), Westlife (6/1), Girls Aloud (9/1) and Avril Lavigne (14/1).

"We're not expecting to win but we're over the moon to be nominated. It feels great," said band member Tom Fletcher, who went on to admit he would be stalking his idols at the ceremony. "I'm going to try and follow Green Day around at the Brits. I really want to meet them - I'm going to be stalking them all night."

He also reiterated the group's strange vow to strip in the event of victory. "Dougie is definitely going to get naked if we win. It depends how drunk the rest of us get if we join in or not."

The Brits are held this Wednesday, February 9.
